Moreover, the color of her hair is different too, black in picture one and light in picture two.

Personally, I would prefer reading e-books.

As for me, I like reading a few books at the same time. Because, having one e-book reader allows a person to have all the books they want in one place. It’s like a personal library. It’s not comfortable for me to carry a couple kilos of regular books in my bag.

Firstly, in the left side picture the bear is in a place that people built, whereas in the right side one the bear is in wild nature surrounded by some flowers and dry pieces of trees. It seems to me that it’s autumn in the first picture and summer in the second one.

Personally, I think that it would be better for bears to live in the wild rather than at a zoo.

In addition to it, the photos differ from each other in the way the girls are dressed. The volleyball players are wearing a special uniform consisting of shorts and T-shirts. The dancing girls are wearing cool dresses, which are quite casual.
As for me, I’d prefer playing volleyball because sport makes us strong and healthy.
In conclusion I’d like to say that there many ways of spending free time. You should choose your own way considering your purposes, physical and mental state.

Well, I have two pictures to compare and contrast. From the very beginning, I’d like to say that both pictures are connected with a very important topic. It is human environment. The first picture shows us an urban environment with high modern houses, much traffic, and the like. The second picture presents the countryside, which is very quiet, and nothing special is happening there.
If you take a closer look, you’ll find a lot of common details in both pictures. In the first place, I’d like to state the fact that there are some buildings in both pictures. In addition to it, there is a road running through the scene, and greenery in both photos.
As far as differences are concerned, it is obvious that the houses are different in the pictures. Absolutely! In the first photo we can see a number of skyscrapers and other city constructions made of reinforced concrete plates. In the second photo we can see plain small country-houses, which are nothing out of the common. Besides, the roads differ from each other in the pictures. In the left-hand picture, the road is wide and full of cars, buses, and other city vehicles. In the right-hand picture, the road is unsurfaced, and utterly empty.

It is only one person who is shown in each case. I mean my sister whom I have just spoken about. What is more, her emotions in both pictures are the same. She is happy and excited.

Now I am going to give a talk comparing and contrasting two photographs.
To begin with, I’d like to say that these photos are connected with a very important topic. This is “family life”. In the left-hand photo you can see a happy family consisting of four persons. It seems to me that they are celebrating Christmas because there is a Christmas tree in the background. In the right-hand photo you can see another family consisting of three members. I guess they are having a birthday party because there is a birthday cake with the definite number of candles in it, and there are also birthday presents on the table.
It is at once apparent that both pictures have much in common. It goes without saying they depict a happy moment of family life. The people are dressed up, and they are also in good spirits. By all appearances, they are having a good time. There is one more detail that makes the pictures alike. I mean children. Both pictures show us happy children who are surrounded by their loving parents.
As to the differences, I should point out the fact that the children are of different sex in the pictures. It is a girl who is in the left-hand picture, and it is a boy who is in the right-hand picture. What is more, the number of persons is different. There are four persons in the first case while there are three persons in the second case.
Frankly speaking, it is difficult for me to decide what celebration to choose because they both seem to be awesome. Nevertheless, I’d prefer Christmas because it is a holiday for not only getting presents but also for making them.

As a first step, I’d like to say that these pictures are about spending free time together. In the first picture you can see a group of young people who are quad biking in winter. In the second picture you can see a party of friends who are going to watch TV.
If you take a closer look, you can see that these pictures have much in common. First of all, I’d like to point out the fact that both groups of people are sexually mixed. I mean there are males as well as females in each group. In addition to it, they are approximately of the same age.

Despite all the similarities, the pictures are rather different. You know, the actions themselves are fundamentally different. In the first case, we see a moment that is extremely tense. The volleyball players are straining themselves as much as possible to return a ball. On the contrary, in the second case the girls are trying to relax and zone out. In addition to it, the photos differ from each other in the way the girls are dressed. The volleyball players are wearing a special uniform consisting of shorts and T-shirts. The dancing girls are wearing cool dresses, which are quite casual.
As for me, I’d prefer playing volleyball because sport makes us strong and healthy.
In conclusion I’d like to say that there many ways of spending free time. You should choose your own way considering your purposes, physical and mental state.

Well, I am going to give a short talk about two photographs comparing and contrasting them.
It is at once apparent that these photos are related to one theme, which can be defined as “taking care of your health”. Let me start with the first picture. You can see a number of people here who are exercising on running machines. The main person is a girl shown in the foreground. As to the second picture, there is a girl here who is jogging in a park.
It stands to mention that these pictures have much in common. Firstly, the main characters in both situations are females of approximately the same age. They are sporty, and they like keeping fit. Secondly, the girls are wearing similar T-shirts, which are suitable for doing sports best of all. What’s more, both young women are smiling, which means they are in good spirits and experiencing great pleasure in physical exercises.
Along with similarities, there are a lot of differences in these photos. First of all, the girls are doing sports in different places. The first girl seems to be in a gym or a fitness center while the second girl is jogging in an open area. Besides, if you look at the girls’ clothes, you see the difference of their colours. In the first case it is white while in the second case it is red.
As for me, I’d prefer jogging in a park. In my opinion, it is much healthier to do exercises in the open air breathing fresh air in and enjoying the surrounding nature.
In conclusion, I’d like to say that there are many ways of taking care of your health. You choose your own considering your preferences, purposes, and physical state.

Описание картинок на английском языке на ЕГЭ — одно из тех заданий, к которому нужно долго и тщательно готовиться. Конечно, вам может показаться, что здесь все максимально просто, но в действительности неподготовленный студент может попасть в типичные ловушки этой части теста.

Поэтому сегодня я хочу подробно с вами обсудить план этого задания, для чего его придумали, а также дам вам парочку показательных примеров, на которые можно будет опираться.

Что это и зачем придумали?
Описание картинок — третье задание в устной части теста. Здесь проверяются ваши способности быстро формулировать монолог длиною в 2 минуты по существующему плану. Кроме того, проверяется ваш грамматический и лексический уровень, а также умение вести неподготовленную речь. Данное задание считается одним из самых легких в устной части, особенно если ставить его рядом со сравнением картинок.
План действий
Первичная формулировка задания в 2020 году будет звучать следующим образом.
Представьте, что эти фотографии взяты из вашего фотоальбома. Выберите одно фото, чтобы рассказать о нем вашему другу. Вы начнете через 1.5 минуты, и должны будете говорить не более 2 минут.
А сейчас обратите внимание, что у вас есть целых 1.5 минуты, чтобы уже внимательно рассмотреть картинки, составить себе план ответа и даже вспомнить все слова, которые вы можете забыть во время ответа. Поверьте, эти 1.5 минуты дают вам нереальную фору.
После этой формулировки у вас есть небольшой план, по которому вы и описываете картинки. Он не меняется, поэтому уже сейчас вы можете начинать готовиться и запоминать его.
- Где и когда была снята эта фотография.
1-2 предложений для этой части будет достаточно.
- Кто или что изображено на этой фотографии.
Здесь также можно не очень сильно заострять внимание. Хватит и 2-3 предложений.
- Что на ней происходит.
Самая объемная часть ответа, где вы можете проявить себя. Рассказывайте все, что можете в этой части, но помните про время!
- Почему ты хранишь эту фотографию в своем альбоме.
Здесь ответы могут различаться у каждого человека, но в основе их может лежать фраза «to recall good memories».
- Почему ты показываешь эту фотографию своему другу.
В отличие от других частей плана, здесь вы можете просто заранее придумать пару готовых предложений, а за те самые 1.5 минуты просто проверить, подойдут ли они.

Well… — Ладно. — Если вы не знаете, с чего начать, говорите это слово. Оно даст вам фору в 1—2 секунды.

Сегодня я хочу вам дать образец, запомнив который вы сможете без каких-либо сложностей справляться с этим заданием. Также я покажу вам примеры, как лучше всего отвечать на этом задании.
Первое, что я делаю — это оцениваю, на какую из фотографий я могу говорить больше всего, где я могу использовать свои лексические знания максимально эффективно.
Итак, начнем! Аудио запись также прикрепляю.
- I have chosen the first photo. (Начинать с этой фразы лучше всего. У вас появляются лишние три секунды, а экзаменатору сразу становится понятно, что вы будете описывать.)
- I took this photo when we were having a family dinner at my grandparents’ house last winter. That is how we usually spend weekends during the winter time so I have at least a dozen other similar photos.
- In this photo you can see all my brothers and sisters, and my grandparents as well. They look happy as the dinner has already started and it is absolutely delicious. There is lots of food, the room is dimply lit and atmosphere is very cozy.
- As I have already mentioned, we are having dinner in this picture. What is more, we are talking, discussing some school issues and having fun. Well, it is not shown in the picture, but I had taken it a few seconds before mother brought in a delicious turkey.
- The reason why I keep this photo is because I really love my family and I adore such evenings. We gather together, share some school stories and enjoy ourselves. Another reason for keeping the photo is the opportunity of recollecting those memories any time I need it.
- I wanted to share this picture with you because as far as I know you are going to have some family weekend soon, so I would like to remind you how important and pleasant it is to keep such sweet memories.
- That is all I wanted to say. (Не забудьте про эту фразу, ведь ею вы показываете экзаменатору, что ваш монолог окончен).
Помните, что клише в вашем ответе, который вы натренируете, могут в значительной степени помочь вам. Поэтому давайте потренируемся еще на одном примере.
- So I want to choose photo number 2.
- This photo was taken last summer when I and my father went to our favourite lake to do some fishing during the weekend.
- In the foreground of the picture we can see me and my dad smiling as we have caught the biggest fish I have ever seen. Here I am wearing light clothes as that summer was extremely hot. In the background of the picture we can see an almost deserted beach as only local people know about this place.
- In this picture my father is sitting on his knee while I am standing. We are holding the fish we caught several minutes before. The sun is shining so brightly that my father is wearing sunglasses.
- I decided to keep this photo so that I could remember that amazing weekend and that great experience. I can open it and remember every detail of it any time I want.
- So as you are choosing what to do on the forthcoming weekend, I decided to show you this picture. Maybe you will be inspired to do something like that.
- That is all I wanted to say .

Надеюсь, Вы знакомы с предыдущей статьёй о задании 3, а это значит, что Вы понимаете, что у любого текста есть вступление, основная часть и заключение.

I want to compare and contrast these two pictures. Далее идём по плану:
- In photo 1 you can see a family setting up a tent somewhere in the forest. In photo 2 there are two people lying in the sun on the seashore.
- On the one hand, these two pictures have some things in common. Firstly, both of them depict a family enjoying nature. Secondly, there is only one adult in each picture.
- On the other hand, these photos have differences. In picture one we can see two children whereas in picture two there is only one. In the second picture the people lying in the sun are relaxed, while in the first picture the family members are concentrated on their action: they are setting up the tent. I think that the family in picture one prefers active holidays whereas the people in picture two prefer to spend their summer time in a relaxed way.
- As for me, I prefer spending my summer holidays actively
- as I enjoy active lifestyle in general. To tell the truth, I really find lying in the sun for a long time boring.
In conclusion, I think that the way a person prefers to spend his or her summer holidays depends on his or her personality. Tastes differ[1]. That’s all for now. Thank you for listening.
На что нужно обратить внимание:
первый пункт плана: здесь выпускники часто забывают назвать либо action, либо location.
Как исправить: можно взять любые фотографии с сайта ФИПИ и проговаривать первые два предложения, пока шаблон не усвоится. It’s a bit dull but helpful.
In picture one I can see a man/woman/girl/boy swimming/running/hiking/ in the sea/ in the park/ in the forest. In picture two there is a person cooking/ doing exercises/ playing volleyball in the kitchen/ in the gym/ at the sports ground.
лексика: недостаток лексики. Из разных источников я слышала мнения о том, что картинки на пробнике в апреле были сложными для описания, поскольку на одной из них был изображён учёный в окружении пробирок.
Задание 4 предполагает высокий уровень владения языком, поэтому, экзаменуемый, конечно, должен знать слово scientist, а вот что касается пробирок и белого халата, то эта лексика уже специфическая и, безусловно, владеют ей не все.
Как исправить: просмотреть картинки с сайта ФИПИ, подумать, какая лексика понадобится для описания каждой. Можно составить себе модуль или несколько для заучивания и повторения необходимой лексики на Quizlet. И активно использовать её для описания фото на практике. Можно готовиться с одноклассником или любым другим study buddy.

пункт четвёртый: всегда первым делом смотрите на него, так как в нём, по сути, и содержится ответ на вопрос о том, что общего у этих фотографий, и чем они отличаются;
всегда обращайте внимание на то, как этот пункт сформулирован, поскольку, если там написано you’d prefer, а Вы отвечаете I prefer, ответ не будет засчитан. На странице 6 открытого банка заданий ЕГЭ ФИПИ встречается и задание в следующей формулировке: «say which of the celebrations presented in the pictures you preferred as a child», отвечать, соответственно, нужно: when I was a child I preferred… Моя коллега любит повторять: «Вопрос – половина ответа». Не стесняйтесь проговаривать пункты плана. Конечно, отлично будет если Вы сможете их перефразировать. Это было бы замечательно.
