In your English class you have been talking about the environment. Write an essay using all the notes and give reasons for your point of view.
Every country in the world has problems with pollution and damage to the environment.
Do you think these problems can be solved?

Answer:
I think that my country has problems with pollution to the environment like all other countries. This problem is normal for Russia. We have big problems with transport because there are too much cars in our country. And because of that we have problems with atmospeer, air in my city and in all Russia is really dirty and sometimes I can’t make a sigh because it smells around me and of course around that cars on the road. I’ve heard about tradition of one country. They don’t go anywhere by car one day a month or a year, they just use bycicle or their feet. I think it could be very good if we had a tradition like that.
So, what about the rivers and the seas? Yeah, there are some really good and clean rivers and seas where you can go, but there are not many of them. Once I saw the river OB in my city, it was about two years ago but I stil remember that in some places it was not blue, it was green or purple I didn’t really understand because it had different colours.
I don’t know what should we do. Maybe we should just open our eyes and look what we did. But Russian people don’t care about the world around them many people care only about themselves an that’s all.
So, the best idea is look around and try to do something good for our planet and for us and our children.

Answer:
To begin with pollution and damage to the environment is the most serious and difficult problem for countries of all over the world. Scientists of different countries predict a global ecocatastrophe if people won’t change their attitude to our planet.
First of all a huge damage to the environment brings a transport. People can’t imagine their living without cars, buses, trains, ships and planes. But it’s an open secret that one of disadvantage of these accustomed things is harmful exhaust. Needless to say that use of environment friendly engines helps us to save atmosphere from pollution.
In addition to this our rivers and seas are in not less danger situation. It’s a fact of common knowledge that numerous factories and plants pour off their waste to ponds. Obviously that cleaning manufacturing water helps to avoid extinction of ocean residents.
Apart from this I’m inclined to believe that every person can and must contribute to solving this important problem. Doing a little steps for protection our environment every day we will be able to save our Earth. And it’s a task of each of us.

DEVELOPMENT VS ENVIRONMENT
If we surf the web looking for pollution and environmental catastrophes, we will find out that every country in the world suffers them. This is a natural consequence of the struggle between development and environment.
If a country decided to live isolated from the rest of the world, living on what it can naturally grow and produce, it surely wouldn’t be highly polluted. But we all want exotic food and technological items from all over the world, so we have to pay the price.
Investing on electrical transport would benefit the environment a lot. Even more if this electricity came from a natural source of energy like wind, rivers and solar boards. It’s difficult to achieve this because petrol companies will fight against these actions.
We also have to take care of our rivers and seas. We all have heard about factories throwing highly toxic substances to rivers, without minimizing their poisoning effects. A really strict law should be applied to fine these factories and make them change their policy.
But what about ourselves? We also can do a lot! If, when possible, we bought larger packs of food, we would be producing less rubbish. And this is only an example!

In this context, the fashion industry is becoming increasingly important and having a more and more paramount role in our lives.
On one hand, the fashion industry is undeniably a source of profit and income. It hires millions of people all over the world and generates millions of dollars every year. Furthermore, such profitable business is also believed to be able to spread and make known the culture of a people, encouraging and enhancing a better understanding of each other.
Nevertheless, for those who are neither impressed nor motivated by numbers and figures, the fashion industry is seen as one which segregates people, isolating those who not fit their laws and commands. It is stated that people place too much importance on appearance and the material, world, sadly true, and the fashion industry just spurs on such situation. Moreover, not only are the costs of fashion item unrealistically high, it is thought to be a money better spent on more pressing issues, such as poverty and hunger.
I do believe that the fashion industry, as it is today, has a harmful effect, because it values a minority of people in detriment to the majority. However, it has such a wide reach that, it put into a good use, it can save lives.

Learning a a foreign languages is very important nowadays. English, in particular, is essential because it allows is spoken all over the world. That’s the reason why we start studying it from the age of six years old. I decided to take this exam to know how high my level of English is, but also because I need this certification to go abroad next summer. I really want to come back to Cornwall, an amazing region in the South-West of England. I’ve been there twice with my family, but now I want to go alone. A very common topic that is being discussed nowadays is wether schools should teach subjects that some may consider useless later in life. A clear example is history, since it is quite difficult to learn and does not help us in day-to-day activities.
However, many people do not realize the importance of it or that it affects our lives today. For example, our political system would not be this way if it weren’t for the Ancient Greeks, numerous politicians and wars who helped shape democracy and our constitution. Yet it is still thought that it’s useless.
In addition, it is very important that we never forget about our past since we must know where we were standing years ago. Moreover, there are some things, such as World War II, that we have to remember to prevent them from happening again. We should also know where we we were standing a century ago: our origins, our identity. The more you learn about your ethnicity, the better.

Все чаще выпускники 11 классов для сдачи ЕГЭ выбирают английский язык и при этом показывают достойные результаты. В 2022 году более 87 тысяч ребят сдавали английский, и средний тестовый балл на ЕГЭ по английскому языку составил 73,27 — это самый лучший показатель среди всех экзаменов по выбору. Однако не стоит думать, что все дело в легких экзаменационных заданиях. Это далеко не так. Ребята выбирают английский осознанно и очень серьезно готовятся к экзамену.
Если кто-то думает, что сдать ЕГЭ по английскому можно, полагаясь на русский «авось», то он очень глубоко заблуждается. Просто так справиться со всеми заданиями единого госэкзамена по английскому без хорошей подготовки невозможно в принципе. Особенно это касается вопросов, требующих развернутого письменного ответа. В частности, много вопросов у ребят вызывает задание №38 — развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения. О порядке выполнения этого задания мы подробно расскажем в этой статье, а также дадим несколько советов по подготовке.

Что представляет собой эссе на ЕГЭ по английскому языку
По принципу построения ЕГЭ по английскому языку очень сильно напоминает международные экзамены (TOEFL, IELTS, Кембриджские экзамены). По уровню сложности единый госэкзамен по английскому соответствует уровню B1 (Intermediate — средний) общеевропейской шкалы языковой компетенции CEFR. Чтобы успешно справиться со всеми заданиями теста, выпускник должен владеть английским языком на уровне Intermediate (Средний) или Upper-Intermediate (выше среднего).
Задание №38 (38.1 или 38.2) предполагает создание развернутого письменного высказывания с элементами рассуждения на основе предложенной таблицы или диаграммы. Задача экзаменуемого — описать события (факты или явления) и выразить собственное мнение на этот счет.
Задание 38 из ЕГЭ по английскому языку многие сравнивают с task 1 из academic IELTS, но такое сравнение не совсем корректно. Если в IELTS эссе должно быть построено только на основе имеющихся данных, то в ЕГЭ экзаменуемые могут также использовать собственные знания, приводить аргументы и выражать свое мнение.
Развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения относится к заданиям высокого уровня сложности. Это испытание предназначено для выпускников средней школы, прошедших обучение по программе углубленного уровня. В отличие от старшеклассников, которые обучались по базовой программе, они владеют начальными навыками делового общения на английском языке, что невозможно без умения понимать таблицы, графики и диаграммы. Это не просто описание картинки на английском языке, поэтому требуется дополнительная подготовка.
Работа оценивается по 5 критериям: решение коммуникативной задачи (содержание), организация текста, лексика, грамматика, орфография и пунктуация.
Что нужно уметь для успешного выполнения задания
Для успешной сдачи ЕГЭ по английскому языку нужно иметь прочные умения в разных видах речевой деятельности. При этом важно иметь полное и точное представление о формате экзамена, типах заданий и времени на их выполнение.
Согласно «Навигатору самостоятельной подготовки к ЕГЭ» от ФИПИ, чтобы справиться с заданием №38 письменной части, выпускник должен уметь:
- создавать письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения на основе таблицы или диаграммы в предложенной ситуации работы над проектом;
- понимать представленную в виде таблицы или диаграммы информацию и уметь описывать ее;
- сравнивать представленные факты;
- выделять проблемы и предлагать пути их решения;
- в письменной форме выражать свое мнение/суждение по предложенному аспекту темы проектной работы;
- использовать нейтральный стиль для письменного развернутого высказывания с элементами рассуждения на основе таблицы/диаграммы;
- применять в тексте средства логической связи;
- логично разбивать текст на смысловые блоки — абзацы;
- активно использовать имеющийся словарный запас и знакомые грамматические конструкции при создании письменных текстов;
- уметь перефразировать тему и показать ее дискуссионный характер;
- соблюдать правила орфографии и пунктуации.
Обратите внимание, что при оценивании письменной работы задания 38 особое внимание уделяется способности экзаменуемого высказывать свое мнение в письменной форме. Если более 30% ответа имеет непродуктивный характер, то вся работа оценивается в 0 баллов по критерию «Решение коммуникативной задачи».
Пример задания №38 из демоверсии ЕГЭ 2023 года
В письменном задании с развернутым высказыванием и элементами рассуждения экзаменуемому предлагается выбрать один из двух предложенных вариантов — 38.1 или 38.2.

Imagine that you are doing a project on how teenagers relax after a busy day in Zetland. You have found some data on the subject – the results of the opinion polls (see the table below). Comment on the data in the table and give your opinion on the subject of the project.

Экзаменуемый может выбрать любую из двух предложенных тем. Одна из них строится на таблице, другая — на круговой диаграмме. Предложенные в заданиях планы ответов имеют общую структуру и различаются только в 4 и 5 пунктах.
Как писать эссе — общие рекомендации
Ознакомьтесь с заданием, обратите внимание на временные рамки. Постарайтесь максимально рационально распределить отведенные на задание 60 минут.
Изучая предложенные темы, постарайтесь мысленно подобрать возможное содержание. Важно остановиться на той теме, которая будет наиболее выигрышной с точки зрения аргументации. Если вы напишете хороший текст без ошибок, но по содержанию он не будет соответствовать поставленной
коммуникативной задаче, работа автоматически оценивается в ноль баллов.
Обратите внимание на ограничения по объему текста. Задача — написать текст из 200-250 слов, и это не формальность. Допустимое отклонение — плюс-минус 10%. Если объем текста будет менее 180 слов, то работа автоматически оценивается в ноль баллов без проверки. Если в задании более 275 слов, оценивать будут только первые 250. За отдельное слово засчитывается любая часть речи, включая вспомогательные глаголы, предлоги, артикли, частицы.
Соблюдайте нейтральный стиль. Избегайте риторических вопросов, разговорных выражений и кратких формы (I’m, he’s, don’t, aren’t, can’t, didn’t и т.п.).
Важно писать аккуратно и разборчиво. Если вы заметили в работе ошибку, нужно аккуратно зачеркнуть неправильное и сверху написать правильный вариант.
Важно грамотно распорядиться отведенным временем и успеть перенести текст эссе с черновика в бланк ответов. Черновые пометки (черновик) не проверяются
и не оцениваются.
Структура эссе в соответствии с требованиями ФИПИ
Чтобы избежать ошибок по такому аспекту, как организация текста, следует каждый пункт плана раскрывать в отдельном абзаце. Текст должен быть разбит на 5 абзацев:
1. Вступление. В первой части нужно перефразировать тему и показать ее дискуссионный характер; написать, что вы выполняете проектную работу, что нашли статистические данные по данной теме и собираетесь их представить. Не нужно писать, что вы самостоятельно собрали сведения/провели исследование и т.п. По условиям задания данные предоставляются в готовом виде;
2. Выбор и описание 2-3 фактов. Во втором абзаце нужно описать 2-3 показателя из приведенных в задании данных (обязательно с указанием цифр). При этом важно ссылаться на источник (таблицу/диаграмму). Числительные нужно писать цифрами. Будет вполне логично начать абзац с конструкции типа:
«According to the table/diagram/results of the opinion poll» — «Согласно таблице/диаграмме/результатам опроса общественного мнения»
или «To begin with, I would like to say/mention that…» — «Для начала я хотел бы сказать/упомянуть, что…»
3. Сделайте 1-2 сравнения, где это уместно. В третьем абзаце проведите сравнение данных из таблицы/диаграммы и дайте небольшой комментарий к проводимому сравнению. Абзац можно начать с фраз:
Clearly… — Понятно…
The data analysis reveals the fact that… — Анализ данных показывает тот факт, что…
The results of the opinion poll invite comparison / allow me to make some comparisons. — Результаты опроса общественного мнения приглашают к сравнению / позволяют мне провести некоторые сравнения.
4. Обрисуйте проблему и предложите способ ее решения. В четвертом абзаце нужно обозначить связанную с темой проектной работы проблему и предложить пути ее решения. Начать можно со слов:

5. В заключение выскажите свое мнение по поводу затронутой темы. Удачным началом пятого абзаца станут фразы типа:

Важно иметь в своем арсенале и уметь использовать самые разные типы клише и слов-связок (linking words): дополняющие, перечисляющие, сравнивающие, противопоставляющие и др. Nowadays extreme sports are very popular among teenagers. For my project on why young people in Zetland do extreme sports I have analysed the opinion polls results.
As can be seen from the table , 47% of youth prefer getting some Adrenalin to all others. While exploring one’s limits (11%) is the least well-liked. The category of fighting fears and stress comes in the fourth place (13%)
According to the results from the table to increase self-confidence (14%) and to follow modern trends (15%) are in the middle of getting big popularity among young people. Also they have almost the same percentage.
Although we see that teenagers in Zetland do extreme sports, I believe that the main problem with doing extreme sports among youth can arise that there is a high risk of getting serious injury. To solve this problem young people should be more careful, follow special instructions. Also, they must wear special equipment to avoid different accidents. If young people do all these important things, the probability of getting injury will be low.
I would like to conclude by saying that doing extreme sports plays an important role in teenagers lives as it causes unusual feelings and emotions and boosts their self-esteem.

Правила написания эссе
Эссе – это развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения. В ЕГЭ 2022 по английскому языку оно пишется на основе таблицы или диаграммы, которую необходимо описать и выразить свое мнение. Здесь можно использовать собственные знания, факты и мнение в рамках заданной темы.
Правила написания эссе по английскому языку:
- Эссе должно строго соответствовать заданной теме.
- Введение и заключение должны быть приблизительно одинаковы по объему.
- Общий объем основной части не должен быть меньше общего объема введения и заключения.
- Сокращенные формы слов не допускаются.
- Числительные пишутся цифрами.
- Необходимо соблюдать нейтральный стиль, без употребления разговорных выражений.
- Должны соблюдаться правила орфографии и пунктуации.
- Все высказывания должны быть связаны логически.
- Подсчет слов осуществляется вместе с артиклями.
- На выполнение задания лучше выделить не менее 60 минут.
Важно не отклоняться от заданного плана и выдерживать необходимый объем слов. Если слов меньше, чем нужно, работа не проверяется, если больше – проверят только максимально допустимое количество слов. При подготовке к ЕГЭ вам нужно заранее подсчитать, сколько слов в среднем у вас получается в строке. Так вам будет легче ориентироваться по объему во время экзамена.
Чего нельзя делать в эссе:
- задавать риторические вопросы;
- использовать разговорные выражения и конструкции;
- использовать сниженную лексику;
- применять краткие формы глаголов.
Правила соблюдения нейтрального стиля:
- Минимальное количество личных местоимений. Достаточно их использовать только при выражении своего мнения, а по тексту применять конструкции в третьем лице, например, учащиеся, дети, взрослые и т. д.
- Не применяйте простые короткие предложения. В предложении должно быть, как минимум, 7 слов.
- Применяйте менее эмоционально окрашенные прилагательные, например, beneficial, convenient. Лучше в тексте не употреблять оценочные или яркие экспрессивные прилагательные, например, interesting, amazing.
- Соблюдайте орфографию.
Структура эссе в ЕГЭ по английскому языку
Структура эссе по английскому включает 5 тематических блоков:
- вступление;
- описание;
- сравнение;
- проблема и ее решение;
- заключение.
Чтобы вам было проще, предварительно в черновике составьте план эссе по английскому в соответствии с полученным заданием, определите количество предложений по каждому блоку. Вашей задачей является успешно расписать все пункты плана эссе, поэтому не обязательно высказывать именно свою точку зрения, защищайте ту позицию, для которой вам будет легче придумывать доказательства. Не соответствие структуры эссе требуемой приведет к снятию баллов.
Вступление по теме проектной работы
Вступление должно состоять из 2-3 предложений, описывающих главную проблему.
Структура предложений:
- вводный тезис общего характера по выбранной теме;
- описание важности проекта;
- обозначение цели проекта.
Важно не просто переписать текст задания, а переформулировать его, применить синонимы, привести конкретный пример.
Резюме
В описании нужно высказать свою точку зрения о проблеме в виде тезиса. Он должен быть лаконичным, затрагивающим особенности проекта в соответствии с исходными данными.
Основная часть – подробный анализ
В основной части нужно сравнить данные, воспользовавшись предложенной таблицей/диаграммой. Сравнение предполагает использование либо синтаксических сравнительных конструкций или сравнительной и превосходной степеней прилагательных и слов, обозначающих количество. Требуется описать два-три факта статистики с указанием цифр. Важно дать понять, откуда взяты цифры. Нужен также некий комментарий к приводимому сравнению. Можно представить противоположное мнение и придумать для него доказательства. Используйте конструкции, которые характерны для рассуждений. Проще всего сравнить минимальные и максимальные показатели, приведенные в исходных данных.
Для сохранения формы эссе-рассуждения, основная часть также должна иметь свою структуру: сначала идет вводное предложение с выражением основной мысли, затем приводятся аргументы и примеры.
Актуальная проблема, изображенная на графике + способ ее решения
Здесь нужно описать основную проблему по заданной теме и предложить способ ее решения. Вы должны выразить свое несогласие с противоположным мнением, привести в доказательство свои аргументы. Абзац также лучше начинать с вводного предложения. Здесь важно ясно и открыто свое мнение: «Я считаю / Я думаю / По моему мнению…»
Заключение
В выводе нужно еще раз повторить свое мнение о проблеме, подтвердить ее важность в объеме 1–2 предложений. Нельзя повторяться в формулировках, важно использовать синонимы.
Требования к эссе в 2022 году
Задание 40 – это развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения. В предыдущие годы работа строилась на некоем высказывании, тезисе, теперь в основу положена таблица или диаграмма. Задание строится на идее проектной работы, представлено в 2 вариантах, одно в таблице, второе в диаграмме. Ученик может выбрать любой. План ответов практически одинаковый.
Требования к эссе:
- Наличие не менее 5 абзацев, которые передают одну мысль.
- Объем 200–250 слов, допустимо отступление на 10%, т. е. 180–275 слов.
- Текст должен соответствовать заданной теме. При написании хорошего текста без ошибок, но по содержанию не соответствующего поставленной задаче, он оценивается на 0 баллов, а лексические и грамматические знания и навыки не оцениваются совсем.
Советы, как подготовиться к ЕГЭ по английскому 2022:
- Пополните свой словарный запас. Читайте больше информационных тексов на сайтах, обращайте внимание на то, какие выражения используются при рассуждениях.
- Сделайте таблицу с синонимами слов.
- Задействуйте зрительную память, читайте художественную литературу на английском.
- Постарайтесь улучшить грамотность. Для этого пишите тексты без спеллчекера и анализируйте свои ошибки, лучше даже писать от руки для активизации моторной памяти.
- Еженедельно пишите эссе из пробных ЕГЭ.
- Составьте свой шаблон сочинения по английскому, который можно использовать для разных тем.
- Обменивайтесь готовыми эссе с друзьями, вы сможете одновременно проверять их на наличие ошибок и соблюдение критериев написания, а также тренироваться и расширять свой кругозор.

Частые ошибки в эссе на ЕГЭ по английскому

В решении коммуникационной задачи возможные ошибки можно разделить на соответствующие аспекты.
Аспект 1, вступление:
- Вступление состоит из общих рассуждений и не содержит упоминания цели проектной работы.
- Сдающий пишет о том, что провел опрос или собрал сведения самостоятельно.
- В эссе написано, что ученик сам составил таблицу/диаграмму.
- Искажение деталей опроса.
- Использование слов «диаграмма» и «таблица» не по назначению.
- Проект описан как коллективный, писать необходимо от первого лица.
Аспект 2, описание:
- Не приведено ни одной цифры.
- Дано только словесное описание (the majority, the least, many respondents, etc.).
- Числа написаны словами, не цифрами в аспектах 2 и 3 (это ошибка, которая влияет на оценивание по критерию «Организация текста»).
- Приведены цифры, которых нет в исходном задании или ошибочно соединены цифры из одной строки с опцией ответов респондентов и из другой строки таблицы/диаграммы.
Аспект 3, сравнение:
Не желательно, если в аспектах 2 и 3 информация будет одинаковой, однако это не снижает балл, если использованы синонимы или одинаковой является только часть предложения.
Аспект 4, проблема и ее решение:
- Предложная проблема нереальна или нелогична.
- Проблема предложена реальная, но ее решение бессмысленно.
- Логическая ошибкой является, если автор ссылается на статистику, но в ней этой информации быть не может, например, в ответе на задание 40.1 из демоверсии написано «Судя по статистике, чтение плохо влияет на зрение…», это логическая ошибка, так как такой информации в таблице нет. Но, если написано ««Судя по статистике, жанр любовных романов (Romance) непопулярен…», то здесь логической ошибки не будет.
Аспект 5, заключение:
- Не указано прямо, что это мнение автора, а приведены общие суждения.
- Отсутствует мнение по конкретной теме задания.
Аспект 6, стиль:
- Наличие риторических вопросов.
- Применение разговорных конструкций и выражений, типа Let’s… (Let us и Let me считаются нейтральным стилем).
- Сниженная лексика типа folks (people).
- Наличие кратких форм: I’m, he’s, don’t, aren’t, can’t, didn’t, I’d like… (исключение: needn’t).
Ошибки в организации текста:
- Не структурированный текст.
- Написание цифр словами.
- Использование в описании результатов социологического опроса разных времен.
- Неверное употребление личных, притяжательных и указательных местоимений в качестве референтных слов.
- Использование в начале абзаца сочинительных союзов But и And.
