There are many benefits to playing both team and individual sports. Apart from getting some exercise and improving your physical abilities, you can learn about your strengths and weakness and feel great about your accomplishments on the track or field. However, some people believe that team sports help develop a person’s character better.
In my opinion, individual sports develop a stronger character than team sports do. I believe that an individual sport gives you the opportunity to perform according to your own schedule and particular skills set. It also teaches you to motivate and challenge yourself. For example, if you’re practicing for a race, you can time yourself and then you can try to beat your own running time.
Others believe that team sports are more beneficial because they teach you how to cooperate with other people, and how to work for common goals. They also teach you leadership, if you happen to be the captain, or how to follow another person’s instructions. These are valuable lessons that can help build character.
I think for some people, though, this type of sport doesn’t work very well. Some people are too independent to perform this way. That doesn’t mean that they can’t develop a strong character. You can learn lessons about determination, pushing yourself and developing skill and talent from individual sports.
In conclusion, I believe that team sports aren’t always best for helping a person develop a strong character. Individual sports can do so as well. I think people have to find a sport they enjoy and excel at doing that.

Most people love sports, and consequently, they try to spare some time for it, at least, three days a week. Everyone has his own preferences: some people are favored over team sports and some choose individual sports to do. People from both of opposing groups consider that their way of doing sports helps to develop a stronger character.
From my point of view, individual sports have greater impact on people`s characters. Firstly they teach to be steady in one`s purposes. Secondly, they cease to rely on others, because everything is entirely up to them. Moreover, only personal commitment and aspiration develop stronger character. And this is exactly what the individual kinds of sport do.
However, there are plenty of benefits from team sports. That is why so many people vote for team kinds of sport as a means of character development. They support their opinion by the fact that a team encourages the players to cooperate with each other, which is a useful skill in everyday life. Besides, members learn the ways of supporting and dealing with disappointment in case of failure. Thus, many people consider team sports as a way to master stronger character.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with these arguments because they are not convincing for me. This is exactly owing to my belief that the strong character is not always a result of cooperation and support in a team. It is a result of serious inner work.
In conclusion, I would like to state that team sports have less influence on person`s character in comparison with individual sports. Therefore, I usually prefer doing sports by myself.

• mention the advantages (1−2) of the two kinds of sports;
• mention the disadvantages (1−2) of the two kinds of sports;

Пояснение.
Hey, Kate. You know that? I’ve just found two pictures suitable for our project “Sports”. Let me tell you a bit more about them.
These pictures are relevant to our project because there are people celebrating their victories in different sports competitions. In the first photo there are members of a football team, they have just won a championship. They are holding their prize and screaming. In the second picture there is a runner, who is reaching a finish line. He has won a competition as well. There are a few differences to illustrate our project better. Obviously, both of the pictures are related to sport events. The difference between the sports is that football is a team game and running is an individual kind of sport. Another difference between these two photographs is that the runner was shot while he is just about to win, and the football players had already won their prize.
In my opinion, both kinds of sports have their advantages. For instance, playing football is fun as well as it is a team game. As for running, it doesn’t require any special equipment or court, people can practice it almost everywhere. Of course, the two kinds of sports have disadvantages too. For example, football is a contact sport so players can get injured. At the same time, running is rather boring especially if it is long distances.
As for me, I’d like to play football, because it’s a team game. And it is much more famous. Millions of people all around the world love to spend their time watching football matches and I’m one of them. I’m a big football fan. Moreover, sometimes my friends and I play football in the school yard during the breaks.
So, shall we use these photos in our project? Call me when you’re ready to discuss if we can use them. Bye-bye.

Team sports help people develop a stronger character than individual sports do.
Sport plays an important role in our life. Some people believe that team sports make a person stronger mentally and physically. Others claim that individual sports build a strong character and volition.
I agree with those who say that individual sports make people’s character stronger and more forceful. Firstly, a person has accountability for results in his game or competition. Everything depends on himself. So, a person becomes more responsible. Secondly, individual sports demand more discipline. If sportsman does not train, nobody will do it and nobody will win the competition for him.
However, other people guess that a person will have a strong character if he participates in a team

Team vs Individual Sport

Are you all for one or one for all? When it comes to sports, people typically aren’t both. From an early age, you will usually find yourself leaning towards either team or individual sports.
This decision probably has a lot more to do with who you are as a person than you’re actual skill set. For example, If you are more outgoing or a social butterfly type, then you’ve probably found yourself drawn towards team sports.
Whereas if you are more shy, introverted or naturally competitive, you may prefer individual sports. There are distinct benefits of playing both team or individual sports but, there are of course, obvious disadvantages to each.
Regardless of whether you are a team player or a lone wolf, playing sports is something to be applauded. But have you really thought about the pro’s and con’s of your chosen field?
The Pro’s Of playing Team Sports
With camaraderie and team spirit leading the pack, there are endless advantages to playing team sports, particularly in childhood and adolescent years.
Team sports promote cooperation, no matter the individual talents of the players, you must work together and rely on your teammates in order to succeed.
Playing as a team promotes good sportsmanship and helps to put winning into perspective. Being a sore loser is common, particularly among only children, or those who have never played a team sport.
But, being part of team allows you to understand winning and losing and how to deal with it in a safe and supportive environment.
The burden of loss is felt equally amongst teammates, this can lessen the blow, whereas winning can feel more valuable when the success is shared.
Team sports teach you to appreciate the value of every teammates abilities and how their strengths can contribute to shared goal. This can make you a more supportive, patient and optimistic person on and off the field.
Participating in a team sport can also be a powerful and fun way to stay motivated and push yourself. Having teammates to train with can be inspiring and encourage you to rise to new levels.
Ultimately team sports are a great way to make friends and meet new people. They attract a lot of support and promote a sense of community and belonging.
The Cons Of Playing Team Sports
Team sports can breed competition among teammates, particularly when it comes to receiving individual trophies or accolades. This can create a hostile environment and contribute to feelings inadequacy for individuals.
Teams can also create a pack-like-mentality which usually sees an individual emerge as a leader. While having a leader is not something negative within itself, it can have negative consequences.
As they say, with great power comes great responsibility, and in some cases those in power do not always play for the team. So it is important to ensure that your alpha has your back.
Pros Of Playing Individual Sports
Individual sports instil higher levels of self-reliance, discipline and passion in athletes. Winning or losing is entirely up to you, and every competition is a chance to beat your personal best.
Your success and your failure are entirely your own. This can improve self-confidence and independence in all areas of life, as you know that you can succeed on your own merits. You do not have teammates to rely on, or share the burden of a loss, this may cause you to be more self-aware and motivate you to work harder in order to succeed.
Individual spots such as tennis have also been proven to be highly beneficial for children who suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder, and other sensory or socialisation disorders. These sports aid in developing self-esteem while improving focus and encourage physical activity.
Cons Of Playing Individual Sports
Individual sports lack the opportunity for athletes to form the same bonds as those on teams, and they do not have the same social aspects. This can mean the individual sports can be lonely and secluding.
Individual sports can cause athletes to have an unhealthier relationship with losing as they lack the support and accountability of a team. A losing streak for an individual athlete can drastically impact their overall confidence in their abilities.
Overall people are said to find team sports more enjoyable, however, the virtues of self-reliance and discipline promoted by individual sports are certainly not to be discounted.
It is important that you chose which ever sport works for you, because ultimately if you’re getting out there and giving it a go, you are doing something positive.
Whether you play team or individual sports, your body will thank you, but be sure not to over do it. If you’re feeling the weight of your game contact with one of our experienced health consultants.

Sports are an important part of just about every society lives. In one way or another everyone is involved in sports or some sort of activity whether they’re playing or watching or just knows someone who does. There are many types of sports like: team and individual sports. For example, golf is considered to be an individual sport. The purpose of golf is so that golfers play on the same course and competing against one another only with their scores. For some sports like tennis in which one player must beat the other to finish a match.
Golf features each player against every other player with the one who takes the fewest strokes to sink the ball into 18 holes is declared the winner. Then there are sports like: baseball, basketball, and soccer which are team sports. These sports consist of teams of five, seven, and nine plays against each other with team members helping each other to win as a team. Sports are played for fun or for money or sometimes both. Just about every sport has both professionals (those who compete for money) and amateurs (those who do not compete for money).
It is important that we experience both individual and team sports because these two kinds of sports teach us very different values and rules that are fundamentals not only in the sport world but as well as in life. Although, learning how to play a team sport has a lot of advantages. The first things we can think of are related to the interaction among the members of the team. It might seem fun and easy to play in teams, but it is not so simple. In fact, it takes time and training to develop those skills that we need to join in a team.

The Essay on Paying College Athletes Team Play Money
Paying College Athletes If the colleges are going to pay their athletes, the pay shouldn t go over $50, 000. I think some athletes might end up getting used to the real world if they had to manage large sums of money, to pay for their cars, college, and even a house. For some it might be bad, like if the money went straight to their head. It might end up getting them in trouble. And some, might …
Practicing team sports can effectively teach you a very important lesson so you know how to work together to reach the same goal. This means that to be in a team you need to know how to rely and trust one another, how to accept their mistakes, praise their efforts, and how to keep a healthy relationship with them no matter what. Practicing a sport team will surely help you acquire these skills that are going to help you throughout life. Furthermore, team sports have another great advantage. They can be played for fun among friends just to spend some time together.
It is very common to see a group of friends playing soccer or volleyball on the beach when they are spending a nice time together. I believe that team sports can be played for fun because the pressure and competition are not concentrated on one single person but spread into all the members of the team. This means that in case of a win everybody is happy and cheers together but in case of loss they can instead console each other. Even though most people lean towards team sports they do not seem to see the beneficial values that individual sports have. Individual sports teach kids to have confidence and self-reliance in themselves.
As a performer such as gymnastics you’ve got no one to rely on but yourself. Each day they train themselves for a specific event so that they are able to succeed yet over achieve for that one particular event. In these types of sports you may have several friends and training partners helping you but in the end you know it’s up to you to do your best each day. Whereas in group sports most athletes have the knowledge that success and failure both are a team effort and no matter how well or how poorly one performs it’s up to the team as a whole to work together and win.
