Some people say that traveling abroad helps to understand one’s own country, whereas others believe that in order to better understand one’s country better people should not go abroad.
In my opinion in order to understand something better one should be able to compare it with something else, and countries are no exception. It is a general principle and I support it. First of all, when a person travels abroad he or she sees the differences in other countries compared to their own ones. For example, something that people took for granted in their home country suddenly becomes very valuable in another country. Second, people go to see different cultures and it makes them think more about their own because comparison is a part of human nature. For instance, a person cannot say if one thing is better than another without comparing them.
At the same time some people say that one should learn more about their own country by not going anywhere. One should visit all regions of his or her country first before going somewhere else. The more places in the country they visit, the better they understand it.
I cannot agree with the second opinion mentioned above for a particular reason. Comparison is a basic principle of every human’s understanding of the world. No matter how long a person studies something they will never get to the depth of it without seeing different versions of what they are studying in its home environment.
In conclusion, I would like to say that enriching one’s knowledge about their county by traveling abroad is a very effective and efficient of getting knowledge. When people compare architecture, tradition, art, music, philosophy and religionsof other countries they get a better understanding of their own country.
Sometimes choosing a partner for travelling can be tough. Many people believe that it is more convenient to have a trip without friends or family, whereas others claim that it is risky and boring.
From my point of view, travelling alone is rather appealing. To begin with, it is cheaper as one can find a plane ticket or book a hotel room with a huge sale which allows to save a fortune. Travel agencies usually offer lower prices to those who travel by themselves as otherwise it brings no progit. Moreover, people are free to choose any activity they want depending on their hobbies and interests. For instance, not everyone is keen on art and that is why some travellers cannot visit an art gallery but this problem can be easily solved while having a trip alone.
However, some people are convinced that it is much nicer to have a partner during a journey. In their opinion, travelling alone is dangerous as there is no one who can help. They think a traveller can get lost or get into trouble.
I disagree with this idea because there is always an opportunity to ask locals for help. They know their city and can show a right direction to the certain place. In addition, there are many useful apps which work without the Internet.
In conclusion, I would say that everyone chooses the option which is good for them but I still prefer travelling alone. It is important to remember that one of the essential parts of having a trip is a person’s comfort.

Travel is an essential part of modern life. Thus, many people think that moving around expands one’s horizons. But others disagree with this point of view.
I strongly believe that travelling around the world develops the mind. Firstly, when people visit another country, they learn a lot about its culture and traditions. And this enriches their view of the world. Secondly, travelling gives an opportunity to acquire a foreign language through communicating with the locals. Thirdly, having set a foot into a new place, one has to be able to find his way and not to get lost. Such orientation exercise greatly improves one’s intellect.
Yet, some claim that travel is a waste of time and money. They are convinced that you don’t have to go overseas to become smarter. All sorts of information can be found in books nowadays. Moreover, those people say that going abroad is too expensive. It’s much wiser to invest your money in some training.
However, I don’t agree with these opinions. Books can never replace travelling. As the saying goes, “Better to see once than hear a hundred times”. As for the high cost, there is a wide variety of agencies today which offer tours for all kinds of budget.
In conclusion, I consider travelling a powerful way to broaden the outlook for those who are eager to learn.

There is no secret that travelling plays an important role in people’s lives.For my project on how young people travel in Zetland I have found some data on this issue organised in the line graph.
It is clear from the line graph that 90% of young people prefer travelling by air while travelling by bus is the least popular way of travelling with only 7% of teenagers doing it. Also, the category of travelling by train comes in the second place (75%)
According to the results from the line graph, 20% of young people enjoy travelling by car that means 5% more than travelling on a cruise liner (15%). Also, travelling by car is almost three times more popular than travelling by bus (7%).
While teenagers in Zetland can not imagine life without travelling one problem can arise connected with it. Young people often don’t have enough money to do on a journey. I think to solve this problem teenagers can save some money for trips having a part-time job. Thus, they can choose where and how to travel.
In conclusion, I would like to say that travelling is a great idea to explore the world, open the mind and get a lot of positive emotions.
