Описание фотографии (ЕГЭ / ВПР 11 класс)

1. Вступление

Прежде всего, обязательна техническая фраза – I’ve chosen photo 1 / 2 / 3 – чтобы уточнить, какую фотографию вы собираетесь описывать.

— Would you like to see my holiday photos?

— Please, have a look at this photo. Isn’t it nice?

— As you know, I took up photography last year. I’ve taken a lot of photos and here is one of them.

2. Где и когда сделано фото:

— I took it 3 months / 2 years ago. It was in autumn / in September / during my winter holidays.

— The photo was taken by my mother / brother / friend.

— At that time I was travelling in Europe. My parents and I were spending holidays in Sochi. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday.

Ловите список полезных фраз и идей для оформления ответа.

1. Вступление

Прежде всего, обязательна техническая фраза – I’ve chosen photo 1 / 2 / 3 – чтобы уточнить, какую фотографию вы собираетесь описывать.

Описание картинок на английском языке на ЕГЭ — одно из тех заданий, к которому нужно долго и тщательно готовиться. Конечно, вам может показаться, что здесь все максимально просто, но в действительности неподготовленный студент может попасть в типичные ловушки этой части теста.

Поэтому сегодня я хочу подробно с вами обсудить план этого задания, для чего его придумали, а также дам вам парочку показательных примеров, на которые можно будет опираться.

Что это и зачем придумали?

Описание картинок — третье задание в устной части теста. Здесь проверяются ваши способности быстро формулировать монолог длиною в 2 минуты по существующему плану. Кроме того, проверяется ваш грамматический и лексический уровень, а также умение вести неподготовленную речь. Данное задание считается одним из самых легких в устной части, особенно если ставить его рядом со сравнением картинок.

План действий

Первичная формулировка задания в 2020 году будет звучать следующим образом.

Представьте, что эти фотографии взяты из вашего фотоальбома. Выберите одно фото, чтобы рассказать о нем вашему другу. Вы начнете через 1.5 минуты, и должны будете говорить не более 2 минут.

А сейчас обратите внимание, что у вас есть целых 1.5 минуты, чтобы уже внимательно рассмотреть картинки, составить себе план ответа и даже вспомнить все слова, которые вы можете забыть во время ответа. Поверьте, эти 1.5 минуты дают вам нереальную фору.

После этой формулировки у вас есть небольшой план, по которому вы и описываете картинки.  Он не меняется, поэтому уже сейчас вы можете начинать готовиться и запоминать его.

• Где и когда была снята эта фотография.

1-2 предложений для этой части будет достаточно.

• Кто или что изображено на этой фотографии.

Здесь также можно не очень сильно заострять внимание. Хватит и 2-3 предложений.

• Что на ней происходит.

Самая объемная часть ответа, где вы можете проявить себя. Рассказывайте все, что можете в этой части, но помните про время!

• Почему ты хранишь эту фотографию в своем альбоме.

Здесь ответы могут различаться у каждого человека, но в основе их может лежать фраза «to recall good memories».

• Почему ты показываешь эту фотографию своему другу.

В отличие от других частей плана, здесь вы можете просто заранее придумать пару готовых предложений, а за те самые 1.5 минуты просто проверить, подойдут ли они.

Полезные фразы в помощь

Well… — Ладно. — Если вы не знаете, с чего начать, говорите это слово. Оно даст вам фору в 1—2 секунды.

In the photo … — На фотографии…

I took this picture… when/because  —Я сделал этот снимок… когда/потому что…

In the foreground/background of the picture… — На переднем/заднем плане картинки…

At the very particular moment — В этот самый момент…

Образцы и примеры

Сегодня я хочу вам дать образец, запомнив который вы сможете без каких-либо сложностей справляться с этим заданием. Также я покажу вам примеры, как лучше всего отвечать на этом задании.

Первое, что я делаю — это оцениваю, на какую из фотографий я могу говорить больше всего, где я могу использовать свои лексические знания максимально эффективно.

Итак, начнем! Аудио запись также прикрепляю.

1. I have chosen the first photo. (Начинать с этой фразы лучше всего. У вас появляются лишние три секунды, а экзаменатору сразу становится понятно, что вы будете описывать.)
2. I took this photo when we were having a family dinner at my grandparents’ house last winter. That is how we usually spend weekends during the winter time so I have at least a dozen other similar photos.
3. In this photo you can see all my brothers and sisters, and my grandparents as well. They look happy as the dinner has already started and it is absolutely delicious. There is lots of food, the room is dimply lit and atmosphere is very cozy.
4. As I have already mentioned, we are having dinner in this picture. What is more, we are talking, discussing some school issues and having fun. Well, it is not shown in the picture, but I had taken it a few seconds before mother brought in a delicious turkey.
5. The reason why I keep this photo is because I really love my family and I adore such evenings. We gather together, share some school stories and enjoy ourselves. Another reason for keeping the photo is the opportunity of recollecting those memories any time I need it.
6. I wanted to share this picture with you because as far as I know you are going to have some family weekend soon, so I would like to remind you how important and pleasant it is to keep such sweet memories.
7. That is all I wanted to say. (Не забудьте про эту фразу, ведь ею вы показываете экзаменатору, что ваш монолог окончен).

Помните, что клише в вашем ответе, который вы натренируете, могут в значительной степени помочь вам. Поэтому давайте потренируемся еще на одном примере.

1. So I want to choose photo number 2.
2. This photo was taken last summer when I and my father went to our favourite lake to do some fishing during the weekend.
3. In the foreground of the picture we can see me and my dad smiling as we have caught the biggest fish I have ever seen. Here I am wearing light clothes as that summer was extremely hot. In the background of the picture we can see an almost deserted beach as only local people know about this place.
4. In this picture my father is sitting on his knee while I am standing. We are holding the fish we caught several minutes before. The sun is shining so brightly that my father is wearing sunglasses.
5. I decided to keep this photo so that I could remember that amazing weekend and that great experience. I can open it and remember every detail of it any time I want.
6. So as you are choosing what to do on the forthcoming weekend, I decided to show you this picture. Maybe you will be inspired to do something like that.
7. That is all I wanted to say .

Ну вот, мои дорогие, мы и разобрали такую важную для любого из вас часть экзамена. Что еще я бы хотела добавить, так это напомнить вам о важности постоянной практики и умении контролировать время. В этой части ваше «чувство времени» должно работать как никогда хорошо.

Задание
These are photos from your photo album. Choose one photo to describe to your friend. You will have to start speaking in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about:
• where and when the photo was taken
• what/who is in the photo
• what is happening
• why you keep the photo in your album
• why you decided to show the picture to your friend
You have to talk continuously, starting with: “I’ve chosen photo number …”

→ Это техническая фраза, которая никак не оценивается. Она просто переключает внимание проверяющего на соответствующее фото.

Look here, John! I would like to show you this picture. – Смотри, Джон! Я бы хотел показать тебе эту фотографию.
→ Это предложение можно считать введением, которое говорит о том, что ваше описание адресно, т.е. перед вами находится ваш друг (например, его зовут Джон), вы к нему обращаетесь, желая продемонстрировать выбранную фотографию.

I took it in England last summer while visiting my friend whose name is Nick. He works as a bus driver, so I took this picture the moment he was just doing his job. – Я сделал это фотографию в Англии прошлым летом, когда навещал своего друга по имени Ник. Он работает водителем автобуса, и я сделал это фото как в тот момент, когда он занимался своей работой.
→ Этим предложением вы раскрываете самый первый пункт плана, в соответствии с которым вы должны назвать место и время съемки.

As I have just mentioned, you can see my friend Nick sitting at the wheel of his bus. Nick is a nice guy. He has short brown hair, fine figure, and he is a strong man. He is dressed in his favourite white T-shirt and blue jeans. His driver’s cabin is full of various indicators, buttons and levers. – Как я только что упомянул, на фото ты видишь моего друга Ника за рулем управления автобусом. Ник симпатичный парень. У него короткие, темные волосы, замечательная фигура, и он сильный человек. На нем его любимая белая футболка и синие джинсы. Его водительская кабина полна различных индикаторов, кнопок и рычагов.
→ Это предложение соответствует второму пункту плана, соответственно которому вы должны описать объекты на фотографии. Для успешного раскрытия этого пункта стоит выучить описание внешности людей.

Actually, not much is happening in the photo. Nick has just taken his place in the driver’s cabin. He is getting ready to start the engine. Nick is holding the wheel of his bus, looking and smiling at me. Honestly, that was me who asked him to turn around and look at me, because at that time I was on the point of taking the picture. – Собственно говоря, на фото мало действий. Ник только что занял свое место в водительской кабине. Он готовится завести двигатель. Ник держит руль управления автобусом, смотря в мою сторону и улыбаясь. Честно говоря, именно я попросил его повернуться ко мне, потому что в тот момент я был готов сделать фото.
→ В данных предложениях вы раскрываете третий пункт плана, который нацеливает вас на описание действий на фотографии. Обратите внимание на то, что в этом отрезке вашего высказывания преобладает настоящее продолженное время, потому что все действия представляются как бы происходящими здесь и сейчас.

I have many photos demonstrating Nick in everyday situations but this is the only picture showing Nick doing his job. So, from this perspective, this is a unique photo. That’s why I keep it in my album. – У меня много фотографий с Ником в повседневных ситуациях, но это единственное фото, где Ник за своей работой. Так что с этой точки зрения, эта фотография уникальна. Вот почему я храню ее в своем альбоме.
→ На самом деле этот пункт плана чрезвычайно легкий, так как очень шаблонный. Действительно, почему человек может хранить ту или иную фотографию? Причин может быть очень много, но в самом общем смысле люди склонны хранить фотографии, потому что они им чем-то дороги или потому что они чем-то уникальны. Если вы объясните, чем уникально ваше фото, то полноценно раскроете четвертый пункт плана.

I decided to show this picture to you because you have always wanted to know what Nick looks like. And this picture is the best one. – Я решил показать тебе эту фотографию, потому что ты всегда хотел знать, как выглядит мой друг. Это его лучшая фотография.
→ Данный пятый пункт плана также очень шаблонный, так как можно придумать массу причин, почему один человек показывает какое-то фото другому человеку.

Mike, you know that I am a regular traveler. From time to time, I visit exotic countries where I usually go windsurfing, diving, and the like.

Well, this photo I took last year when I was on my holidays in Vietnam. That was a wonderful trip full of extreme actions and unforgettable experience. During my trip I was taking lots of pictures, but this one is my favorite.

You can see wonderful yellow fish in the foreground of this photo. In the background you can see rocks of various size and shape.

Actually, nothing much is happening in the photo. Some fish are swimming by in the depth of the see. Besides, the sun is trying to shine through but only some specks of light can be seen.

Why do I keep this photo in my album? Well, I have a lot of pictures from underwater but this one is special. The fish look very unusual and admirable, and I keep this photo as a striking demonstration of diversity and uniqueness of sea life.

I decided to show the picture to you because I’d like to share my impressions from diving with you. I want you to see how beautiful the bottom of the sea may be and what unusual things you are faced there with.

Well, I hope you understand my feelings and how much I’m into traveling and diving. By the way, next year I am going to visit Vietnam one more time. Don’t you want to join me? If yes, then we will discuss everything next time. Now we have to go to school.

Look at this picture, Jack. I would like to show you my sister whose name is Julia. She is a young lady who likes keeping fit very much. She goes to a gym almost every day to do her physical exercises.

Well, I took this photo last month when I dropped in her gym on my way home. She was right in the middle of her training when I saw her. I had never seen my sister doing intensive physical exercises so I decided to take the photo. In the background there are some other girls who are training themselves together with my sister. Besides, you can see some sports equipment, which is being used by the girls.

You know, my sister is a willing trainee so she always puts a lot of effort to do exercises properly. In this photo you see how Julia is holding her dumbbells and keeping her left leg up. All her mates are doing the same. Look at the girls! They are so focused on what they are doing.

Why do I keep this photo in my album? You know, I don’t have any photos of my sister working out so hard. This is the only one that’s why I keep it in my album.

I decided to show this picture to you to prove the fact that my sister is a sporty girl, and she takes her fitness class seriously. Well, I have other photos of Julia, but I will show them to you next time. We have to leave for school now.

Jack, you know that I like taking photos very much. Whenever I am faced with a significant event or a remarkable person, I activate my camera and make videos or take pictures.

As to this picture, I took it last year during New Year’s Day, which was celebrated on grand scale in the city park.

Well, you see Santa Claus in this picture. In Russia, we name him Grandfather Frost. He is a fairy-tale character who is indispensable in any celebration of New Year’s Day. In the background, you see some children who are singing and dancing in a ring. In the distance some fir-trees can also be seen.

Grandfather Frost is the highlight of the celebration. He is standing in front holding his big magic staff and greeting all the people around. As I have already mentioned above, there are some people who are singing and dancing with pleasure and excitement. By all appearance, all participants of the celebration are having a good time. 

Why do I keep this photo in my album? Frankly speaking, I had never seen such impressive magnificent Grandfather Frost. He seemed so real that I couldn’t help taking the picture of him. I keep this photo as one of the most unusual I have ever taken with my camera.

I decided to show this picture to you because I want to share my impressions with you. Now you see how merry New Year’s Day was last year. I hope you will join me next time without fail.

Look here, Mike! I would like to show you a picture with one of my best frends. His name is John. He is a handsome man who is married to a pretty woman and has a lovely daughter. He lives in England but sometimes comes to Russia to see me.

Well, I took this photo last summer when John and his family were staying with me during their trip to Russia. Frankly speaking, their visit was unexpected, yet I was overexcited to have guests.

In the photo you can see my friend John, his wife Julia, and his daughter Mary. They love each other very much, that’s why they wanted to be photographed all together.

They all are sitting on the sofa looking and smiling at me. John is embracing his wife and daughter showing that he is a devoted husband and father. By all appearance, all the people are very happy.

Why do I keep this photo in my album? You know, I had never seen John’s family all together before. So that was my first time I met and received them at my place. I was so charmed by such harmonious family that I just couldn’t help taking some photos. I keep this one as the best example of happy family relationships.

I decided to show this picture to you because you have always wanted to know what my friend John looks like. Besides, I want to share my impressions of John’s family with you. Now I’m sure you want to meet them too.

I’ve chosen photo number one.

Jack, I would like to show you one special photo. This photo was taken in February when I was on a school skiing trip to Sochi.

The photo shows me and my best friend, Maria. We’re both sitting in the snow and smiling at the camera. Behind us you can see lots of snow and some tall trees with snow on the branches. The sky is grey and it is very cold outside.

We had been skiing all day and decided to take a quick break to take a photo. Our skis are in the snow next to us and we are wearing warm, colourful clothing and helmets. I am wearing a green jacket and light green trousers. Maria is wearing a pink jacket and blue trousers.

We asked another classmate of ours to take the picture, so that we would have something to remind us of the brilliant day.

I decided to show you this photo because it shows what a good time we had on that trip. I will always remember how beautiful the mountains were and how much fun we had.

Jack, I would like to show you one special photo. I took this photo last year. It was when my history class went on a field trip to the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.

The photo shows my class looking at some statues in one of the large halls. The walls are red and you can see statues standing around the side of the room. There are also examples of art on the walls.

In the photo, we are gathered in front of a black statue listening to my history teacher as he explained where it was from and what it was for. I took the photo because my teacher had asked me to photograph the day so we could put pictures of our trip on the school website. Unfortunately, this means I am not in the photo.

I kept a copy of the photo because I liked the colours in it. I also thought it would be a nice way to remember a fun trip.

I decided to show you this photo because I thought you would like to see what the inside of the Pushkin Museum looks like.

Jack, I would like to show you one special photo. This photo was taken when I went on a school geography trip to St. Petersburg for a week. It was two months ago.

The photo shows me sitting in front of a large, beautiful building. I am wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a rucksack. The building behind me is yellow and the sky is blue because it was a warm, sunny day.

I am holding a map because my friend and I had gotten lost. We were walking around the city and didn’t know where we were, so we stopped to sit down and look for directions. We needed to get to the town hall but we were in the wrong place.

I keep this photo because I would like to post it on my blog. You know, I write about my daily life on the Internet for my friends and family to read, and this photo will be a good illustration of my trip.

I decided to show this picture to you because it reminds me of a fun holiday.
