1. My cherished dream is to visit Great Britain someday. At our English lessons we often “travel” throughout this country. There are a lot of wonderful sights there. And I would like to see everything with my own eyes.
   And if I had such opportunity , first of all I would go to London to walk along the streets and hear the English speech and, I hope , that I would understand, what the English are speaking about . And, of course, I would try to communicate with them in their native language.
   Then I would go to the Buckingham palace to see the real Queen there. I am sure she is as kind as my grandmother! And, of course, I would admire the Changing of the Guard. One day I saw this wonderful show on TV!
   After that I would visit the London Tower and feed the ravens. They say, if the ravens fly away, the Tower will ruin?! Is it true?!
   And besides I would visit the London parks because as I have read, they are so beautiful.
   In Hyde Park, I would visit the Speaker`s corner, where I would say that I am happy to be here and want to make friends with the English.
   In Regent`s Park I would visit the London Zoo. I have never visited the big zoos. It would be interesting to look at the animals who live there.
   Returning home, I would buy souvenirs to all my relatives and friends. And as for me the trip to Great Britain would be the greatest gift!

   В Риджентс Парке я бы посетил зоопарк. Я ещё никогда не бывал в больших зоопарках. Интересно было бы посмотреть на животных, которые там обитают.
   Уезжая домой, я накупил бы всем моим родственникам и друзьям сувениров. А для меня самым большим подарком была бы сама поездка в Британию!

   Прежде всего, я бы хотела побывать в тех местах, которые очень отличаются от России. Это может быть любая азиатская страна с незнакомой культурой и традициями. Китай и Индия очень популярны сейчас для праздников и отпусков. Только представлю: однажды утром я просыпаюсь, съедаю свой азиатский завтрак и гуляю вдоль улиц. Может, я бы смогла заглянуть в местный музей или библиотеку и узнаю больше о стране и ее жителях.
   Ещё одно интересное для меня место – Мексика. Однажды я увидела мультфильм «Книга жизни» и сейчас я хочу увидеть эту страну своими глазами. Это совершенно другой мир с различными праздниками и традициями. Меня также привлекает образ жизни местных людей. Эти люди любят веселиться и каждый день они наслаждаются своей жизнью.
   Я бы очень хотела увидеть также и Европу. У каждой страны есть своя история. Просматривая фильмы об Италии, Испании, Румынии, я чувствую себя главным героем. Все эти страны популярны своими выдающимися людьми, мистическим прошлым и интересными событиями.
   Египет – ещё одна маленькая мечта. Пустыня и пирамиды такие уникальные и мистические.
   Честно говоря, билет в любую страну, где я ни разу не была, сделал бы меня самым счастливым человеком во всем мире.

7. Spain is a paradise corner, that hasn’t been spoiled yet by lots of hotels and tourists. This country is famous for its magical olive trees. Spaniards produce and sell olive oil of the highest quality.
   They are proud of their football team, which became the best team in Europe due to Euro 2008.
   The brightest sun, the clearest waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic ocean, the sparkling beaches and the very impressive history and culture make this corner extremely beautiful and attractive. Nowadays a lot of people from different parts of the world admire this country a lot, and I am not the exception. The name
   of this amazing place is Spain
   Of course, the Mediterranean Sea, historical landmarks and the ancient cities, such as Andalusia, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona which is one of the most beautiful cities and the biggest ports in the Mediterranean Sea.
   They like carnivals, traditional music and dances, evening walks along the main streets of their cities and villages.

   What attracts people to Spain?
   One more thing, which makes this country perfect for living, is their national beauty. Spaniards have dark hair, dark eyes, perfect figures and delicate features. Sometimes it’s enough to look at Enrique Iglesias and realize that Spanish nation is the most beautiful nation in the world, except Russians, of course! They are not only beautiful, they are cheerful, friendly. I think these qualities make them so attractive.
   It’s not surprising, that tourism in Spain is becoming more and more popular. Every year Spain is visited by 45-50millions of tourists. This number is much bigger than the population of Spain!

People from different corners of the world come to see these magnificent shows. How I wish to see it one day

   For me Spain is a country of my Dream, which attracts me by its mystery. One day I will become the happiest person in the world, when I visit the country of my Dream!

USA. It is faraway country, on the other side of the world. It is country of contrasts and great opportunities. There are a number of time zones and two oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic, between us. And what attracts me to it?

The US is state with rich cultural heritage and fascinating history. It has passed a long way of formation and has earned respect from other countries. During the Second World War the US had been a reliable support for the Soviet Union because it had helped much in the fight against the fascism.

America gave the world a lot of great people, such as Abraham Lincoln, James Fenimore Cooper, Ernest Hemingway and Martin Luther King. This list is endless. We should not forget about Christopher Columbus, because he had discovered this previously unknown continent.

A lot of cultures, mentalities and nations are intertwined in America. This has formed the current face of the country. Today, the US is a prosperous country, «the first economy of the world». Many people want to go to the US to get an education, make a career, or just see this truly amazing place.

There are so many beautiful cities in America: big cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Miami as well as little provincial towns. I want to pick out New York City among big cities. I associate New York with lots of yellow taxis on Times Square, crowds of people, who hurry somewhere and of course with skyscrapers and Statue of Liberty. Recently, I wanted to «taste «The Big Apple»». No matter how stupidly it sounds, this ambition appeared, when I was playing video game `Grand theft Auto IV`.

That would be so nice to wake up in the morning and go for a walk on Manhattan, visit the famous Wall Street, see Columbia University, stroll along Broadway, stare at the colorful advertising signs in Times Square. Then, we can go to Central Park for a walk, encountering running people in tracksuits, mummies with prams, people walking their dogs or to sit on green grass. After this we can pop to coffee shop and then go to Liberty Island where a statue with the same name is located, which has become a national symbol of America.

New York is the capital of American fashion. Fashion Weeks are held there. New York City is not only a big beautiful city, but it is one of the world economic centers. Also there is the headquarters of UN.

California will certainly leave nobody indifferent. San Francisco with Cable Cars and Golden Gate Bridge, Silicon Valley and high technologies, San Diego and its Zoo — that`s California.

There are most picturesque beaches of the West coast. I would be glad to be on of these beaches. Lying on golden sand and the sun gently caressing your skin, ocean softly roaring, boys and girls in swimsuits playing beach volleyball and the rescuers attentively watching over what is happening. California is an excellent place for surfing. I would take a lesson from local surfing instructors.

There is also Hollywood in the Golden State, it is the well-known suburbs of Los Angeles. Hollywood had discovered the world-famous stars like Audrey Hepburn, Kirk Douglas, Harrison Ford and Meryl Streep. It is noteworthy, that the governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is actor too. By the way, I want to visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It is interesting, that there are two towns, which name is Washington, in America except the capital of the US. The capital of the US, Washington D.C., deserves attention too. What can I say about this city? The government of the USA is situated there and a number of government buildings, like United States Capitol, residence of president of the United States, the White House, and Supreme Court of the United States. Washington D.C. is one of the most beautiful cities of America. Architecture of US Capitol and Supreme Court of the US is amazing. In the US capital we can also see The Lincoln Memorial, inside which the statue of sixteenth president is located. You must see this.

United States of America is a truly great country, with special lifestyle, unique people and its own traditions. My cherished dream is to go there and learn how America really is.

Америка подарила миру немало великих и талантливых людей: Авраам Линкольн, Джеймс Фенимор Купер, Эрнест Хемингуэй, Мартин Лютер Кинг. Этот список можно продолжать бесконечно. Не следует забывать о Христофоре Колумбе, ведь именно он открыл этот неизвестный ранее континент.

В Америке переплелись множество культур, наций, менталитетов, которые сформировали нынешний облик страны. Сегодня США — это процветающая страна, «первая экономика мира». Многие люди стремятся попасть туда: получить образование, сделать карьеру или просто увидеть это поистине удивительное место.

Как много в Америке прекрасных городов. Как мегаполисов: Нью-Йорк, Лос-Анджелес, Майами, так и маленьких провинциальных городков. Среди больших городов хочется отметить Нью-Йорк. Нью-Йорк ассоциируется у меня с множеством жёлтых такси на Таймс-Сквер, толпами людей спешащих куда-то, ну и, конечно же, небоскрёбами и Статуей Свободы. Совсем недавно я загорелся желанием «попробовать «Большое яблоко» на вкус». Как бы это глупо ни звучало, но это желание появилось у меня после того как я поиграл в игру Grand Theft Auto IV.

Как было бы здорово проснуться утром и пойти гулять по Манхэттену, посетить знаменитую Уолл-стрит, посмотреть на Колумбийский университет, прогуляться по Бродвею, полюбоваться на цветастые вывески на Таймс-Сквер. Пройтись по Центральному парку, встречая на своём пути пробегающих мимо людей в спортивных костюмах, мамочек с колясками, людей, выгуливающих собак, или посидеть на зелёной травке. После можно забежать в кофейню, а затем отправиться на остров свободы, на котором находится одноимённая статуя, ставшая национальным символом Америки.

Нью-Йорк также является американской столицей моды. Там проводятся Недели Моды. Следует сказать о том, что Нью-Йорк — это не просто большой красивый город, а ещё и один из экономических центров мира. Также здесь расположена штаб-квартира ООН.

Калифорния наверняка не оставит никого равнодушным. Сан-Франциско со своими трамвайчиками и мостом «Золотые ворота», Силиконовая долина с высокими технологиями, Сан-Диего со своим зоопарком — всё это Калифорния.

Именно там находятся самые живописные пляжи Западного побережья. Я был бы очень рад оказаться на одном из них. Лежишь на золотистом песке, а солнце нежно ласкает твою кожу, океан тихо шумит, парни и девушки в купальных костюмах играют в пляжный волейбол, спасатели на своих вышках внимательно следят за происходящим. Калифорния — превосходное место для занятий сёрфингом. Надо бы взять пару уроков у местных инструкторов.

Также в «Золотом штате» находится Голливуд, знаменитый район Лос-Анджелеса. Именно Голливуд открыл миру всемирно известных звёзд, среди которых можно выделить Одри Хепбёрн, Кирк Дуглас, Харрисон Форд, Мэрил Стрип. Примечательно, что губернатор Калифорнии, Арнольд Шварценеггер, тоже актёр. Кстати, обязательно надо посетить «Аллею славы».

Очень интересен тот факт, что помимо столицы в Америке есть ещё два города с названием Вашингтон. Столица США, Вашингтон, тоже заслуживает внимания. Что же можно сказать о политическом центре страны? Там сосредоточено правительство и ряд правительственных зданий, таких, как Капитолий, резиденция президента США — Белый дом, Верховный суд США. Вашингтон — это один из красивейших городов Америки. Архитектура Капитолия и Верховного суда поражает воображение. Также в столице США можно увидеть мемориал Линкольна, в помещении которого находится статуя шестнадцатого президента. Это нужно видеть вживую.

Соединённые Штаты Америки поистине великая страна, с особым укладом жизни, с уникальными людьми и своими традициями. Моя заветная мечта — побывать там и узнать о том, какая она, настоящая Америка.

The list of the most favorable to living countries has not long been left by Canada. Thanks to the rational management and high level of culture of the inhabitants of the country, this northern state attracted a huge number of immigrants from all over the world. The country’s government had to limit and later close the borders of the country for those, who would stay live in Canada. Why did a small cold country become so attractive for many people and personally for me?

First of all, the highly developed economics of the country should be marked. A large number of the well-known producers of agricultural equipment are situated in Canada. Also the automobiles, air-liners, sea vessels and locomotives of excellent quality are manufactured here. The huge number of factories and mills means that there is much job.

Canada is the second country in size on our planet, after the Russian Federation. However, the ecology is on the top-level. The large territories are wilderness area of forests, where the wild fur-bearing animals inhabit. The popular hobbies of Canadians are hunting and fishing. It is a wonderful place for living in harmony with nature.

The national mentality will be one more advantage of living here. The Canadian people are very friendly and highly-cultured, they can help to a stranger without waiting for something instead. In my opinion, the mentality is the main factor of the country development. The law-abiding citizens created together the tremendous state, where their children have a million chances to become successful in future. The Canadian government does its best for ensuring the citizens with the qualitative education, healthcare, social insurance and adequate standard of living. And I would prefer to live in the country, where I have the perspectives for improvements in all the spheres of my life.

По размеру Канада занимает второе место после Российской Федерации. Тем не  менее, экология остается на высоком уровне. Крупные территории заняты нетронутыми лесами, где обитают дикие пушные звери. К популярным хобби канадцев относится охота и рыбалка. Это замечательное место для того, чтобы жить в гармонии с природой.

Менталитет нации – это еще одно преимущество проживания здесь. Канадцы очень дружелюбные и высококультурные, они могут помочь незнакомцу, не ожидая ничего взамен. По моему мнению, менталитет это главный фактор развития страны. Законопослушные граждане создали вместе великолепное государство, где их дети имеют миллион шансов стать успешными. Канадское правительство делает все возможное, чтобы обеспечить граждан образованием, медициной, социальным страхование и достойным уровнем жизни. А я бы предпочел жить в стране, где у меня есть перспективы на улучшения во всех сферах моей жизни.

architecture. There are many vast green parks and spacious streets. There are a

them.

There are still a lot of cities in the UK
with interesting stories, magnificent architecture, which tourists love to
visit.
