Today modern technologies give us lots of useful instruments. And one of them is the Internet. Some people claim that it makes them waste their precious time and dependence on the Internet might become a new plague for modern generation. But others admit that the global net helps them to save the time every day. So who is right?
To my mind, the Internet is the best time-saver. First of all, you can immediately find necessary information because you don’t have to go to the library or a shop: you can find films, books or music at home or at work. Secondly, the Internet helps connecting people from different parts of the world: you can keep in touch with your family or friends any time. Moreover, many people use the net to pay their bills online, make online appointments to the doctor or do online-shopping. Some people can also work from home now. Actually we save our time and money on travelling to different offices.
However, there are people who state that the Internet often suggests unreliable and false news and articles. Indeed, everybody can write and share through the Internet whatever he wants or thinks. In fact, there are people who create wrong information on purpose. Nevertheless, I strongly believe that working with information is an essential skill for everybody and we should always search for the primary source of information with the help of the Internet.
To conclude, I would like to say that the Internet is just an instrument. In my opinion, it can be a time-saver for those who work and a time-waster – for those who want to relax surfing different social networks, watching countless pictures, dealing with unnecessary e-mail messages or visiting chat-rooms. It depends on your purpose.

Однако существуют и те, кто утверждает, что интернет предлагает зачастую ненадежные и ложные новости и статьи. И в самом деле, любой может написать и поделиться в интернете всем, чем захочется или о чем подумается. Существуют даже люди, которые намеренно создают неверную информацию. Несмотря на это, я твердо убежден, что работа с информацией является необходимым навыком для каждого, и нам всегда следует находить первоисточник информации при помощи интернета.
В заключение, я бы хотел сказать о том, что интернет – это лишь инструмент. На мой взгляд, он может быть средством экономии времени для тех, кто работает, и средством пустой траты времени – для тех, кто хочет отдохнуть, сидя в различных соцсетях, просматривая бесконечные фотографии, перечитывая ненужные электронные письма или посещая чаты. Все зависит от вашей цели.

The benefit of the Internet has been discussed in society for quite a long time. Some people say that it is a big waste of time, whereas others do not agree. They consider the Internet the biggest time saver ever.
In my opinion the Internet is the greatest time saver people ever invented. First of all, the Internet allows people to search important information they need really fast. For example, if a person has any question, he or she goes to ask it in the Internet and get an answer right away. People do not have to go to libraries anymore. Secondly, nowadays the Internet is really educational in terms of lot of people study different subjects distantly. For instance, there are many webinars that teach students mathematics, biology and other academic subjects. They do not need to waste a lot of time going somewhere to take lessons.
At the same time, there are people who believe that the Internet kills a lot of time. They say that youth surf there for hours chatting, watching useless things and get nothing in return.
I do not agree with the opinion mentioned above. There are people who waste there time in the web but they are more exception than the rule. Furthermore, surfing in the net sometimes is really relaxing that is often good for teens overloaded with homework.
In conclusion, I would like to say there are opposing view points on this issue. At first sightthe Internet is a big waste of time, but in actual fact it can save people a lot of time and efforts. Thus, I strongly believe that the Internet is not a time waster.

It’s strange but the thing that helps us a lot in a life is the greatest time-waster as well. There are so much information there, articles and advertisements we pay attention to. Also sometime we speak with people online about nothing. I think that every person has to decide what exactly he wants to check on internet. To check important things we need 1 hour maximum. Rest hours we spend there just for fun. Statistics show that 75% of time that we spend in internet we do useless things. It doesn’t take a lot of time to answer emails and read some news.
From other side internet helps us to solve many problems and save our time. We can order food, do shopping, work online and find any information there.
Not only teenagers but also adults waste a lot of time with the computer. Different games and social networks are interesting also for our parents. It’s ok to chat with your friend for half an hour. But many of my mom’s friends can stay close to the computer for the whole nights. This is a real wasting of time.
So in general I can say that internet is useful and useless at the same time. The thing is how much you think your time is important. You can spend 1 day and earn a lot of money or you lose a whole day doing nothing. Everything depends on you. If you start to program your day and think what you want to do online you will not waste even 1 single minute. I started to think and program my day. There are many important things in our life and internet just help me to organize my schedule correct.

С другой стороны, интернет помогает решить нам кучу проблем и этим экономит наше время. Мы можем заказать еду, купить одежду, работать онлайн и искать любую информацию прямо у себя дома.
Не только подростки, но и взрослые тратят время впустую за компьютером. Различные игры и социальные сети интересны и нашим родителям. Ладно ещё, если они общаются полчаса онлайн. Но многие подруги моей мамы могут сидеть за компьютером целыми ночами. Вот это и есть трата времени.
Итак, как мы видим, интернет одновременно может быть полезным и бесполезным. Другое дело, как сильно вы дорожите своим временем. Вы можете провести целый день онлайн и заработать много денег или потратить день впустую. Все зависит только от вас. Если вы начнёте планировать свой распорядок и думать, что именно вам нужно найти онлайн, вы не потратите впустую ни единой минуты. Я уже планирую свой день. В жизни так много всего важного и интересного, а интернет лишь часть наших занятий.

Some people believe that the Internet is the reason why we never have time nowadays. Others believe that the Internet is the time-saver. In this essay, I would like to express my opinion.
As far as I concerned, the Internet is a useful tool which helps people to save their time. Firstly, it makes possible the distant communication and there is no need to go to a meeting to another city or country. Secondly, it helps to find the needed information in a matter of seconds.
Nevertheless, there are people who believe that the Internet is the greatest time-waster. According to them, people waste their time surfing the Net, posting on social networks and watching weird videos on Youtube.
I cannot totally agree with that point of view because everyone makes his choice and if a person wastes his time it is his choice.
Besides, these people will always find another time-waster if there is no Internet.
To summarize, I would like to say that the Internet gives us a lot of opportunities and expands the horizons. It also saves a lot of time to people who know how to use it.

Some people believe that using the Internet too much can be harmful for the person because you forget to do really important things. But others are convinced that the Internet is the modern way of living and it is fine to use it as much as you want to.
In my opinion a person should restrict himself from surfing in the web too often. Undoubtedly, the Internet can solve problems with information. If you want to find a book or to know more facts about Columbus, for example, then the Internet is the right place. But most people abuse that source of information using it only for their own pleasure. In that case they just waste their time which could be spent on some other more important things.
Others are convinced that the Internet cannot be harmful to the person. They say that there are lots of opportunities which the Internet provides. They believe that you can use it anytime you want.
I cannot agree with the above opinions as these people fail to understand that you get benefit from the Internet only if you moderately and wisely use it. Otherwise, you just waste time doing something useless.
There are two different points of view on the problem. I believe that the Internet consumes a lot of time if you do not use it in the right way.

People’s life has changed with appearing of the Internet. Are there more advantages or disadvantages Internet has opened for us? It is considered the Internet takes too much of our time…
Frankly speaking, I agree with the statement. Indeed, society takes a lot from the Internet appearance, but people’s leisure time began to melt. It is sadly, but it is the truth of the XXI century. The main argument to confirm is statistics. According to it, theme that is spent for using gadgets connected with global net has increased noticeably. It means people more and more include the Internet in their lives.
The second argument is anxiety of healthcare centers. They declare that the number of people fully depended on using global net has grown. Moreover, dependence on the Internet might become a new plague. The third fact is my own experience. I’ve noticed I lose my time very much when I am hanging in social networks spending precious time. It is the reason to sound the alarm!
However there are some people who appose my point of view. They are sure that the Internet has only positive qualities. For example, opponents of given statements are talking only about usefulness in education, work and other spheres. Then they suggest that high-level on safe control helps people to count influence of the Internet. They position is argued by this way. Despite these arguments, I’m sure The Internet is the greatest time-waster, because modern investigation prove it.
To sum it up, I want to pay your attention on a real problem of the Internet dependence of up-to-date generation.

It’s generally believed that sitting on the Internet is a good way of spending time. However, there is an opinion that using the Internet might be dangerous and even harmful. There are advantages and disadvantages of sitting on the Internet for a long time.
In my opinion, using the Internet has some benefits. First of all, it helps people unwind after a working day by playing games, reading news, articles on topics they are interested in. Secondly, it turns out that the Internet is one of the ways to find new friends with exactly the same tastes as you have. For example, if people cannot find good friends for discussions of music they like, films they are fond of in their town, they have the opportunity to find them on the Internet.
On the other hand, some think that the Internet can bring a lot of harms to young children and distract them from school. Sometimes they talk to friends, watch videos forgetting about homework and books. As a result, they lack literacy and get bad marks at school.
It may be true, but it seems to me that we can find a lot of books on the Internet and just read them not paying much money. Furthermore, there are lots of tutorial videos which might be quite useful for people who do not have skills in some areas.
To summarize, I would like to stress that the Internet is the best time waster which opens up many opportunities.
